1- LEAVE THE ROOM TIDY:
While many hotels offer housekeeping service, it is most courteous to be respectful to the housekeepers and public property in general. Avoid leaving wet towels and condom wraps all over the place- throw unused items into the bin. Keep a neat and relatively tidy room before you leave for the day.
2- BE NICE TO HOTEL EMPLOYEES:
Be polite and civil to hotel employees, remember they are human beings just like you. You might be spending thousands of currency every night or bringing in business to the hotel, that should not give you the right to treat hotel staff nastily. Hotel employees will treat your respectfully if you are pleasant.
3- DO NOT STEAL:
Okay many of us have been guilty of nicking the odd towel from our stay in hotels 😉 it doesn’t make it right. It is wrong to nick towels, tissue papers, soaps, plates, spoons or other decorative items on display. STOP! STOP!
4- AVOID BEING OVERLY DEMANDING:
We know you have paid for a service but come-on asking for 3extra pillows and two additional duvets at 3am is probably uncalled for. I have had experiences of guest asking for two, three extra pillows at 3am, trust me every staff dreads you. Lol!
5- LEAVE A COMMENT ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCES:
If your bill is fine and you had a lovely stay, tell the staff, leave a review on a comment card, on the hotels website, on a third party booking website (www.totesphere.com)…. If you had a horrible stay leave a comment also, it will help future guests make a more informed decision.
